MTZCK Vault – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the MTZCK Vault mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”) and any related services provided by MTZCK LTD (“MTZCK”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The App and privacy-first design
MTZCK Vault is a security and privacy app that allows you to store sensitive information in an encrypted digital vault.
Local-only storage: The App is designed so that your vault data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to MTZCK servers. MTZCK does not have access to your vault content.
No accounts / no login: The App does not require user accounts or social login.
3. Eligibility
The App is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm you have permission from a parent/guardian to use the App.
4. Security features and your responsibilities
The App may include security measures such as PIN protection, AES-256 encryption, and encrypted local storage.
You are responsible for:
• keeping your device and App access credentials secure;
• enabling device-level protections where appropriate;
• ensuring you do not lose access to your vault due to forgotten PIN/password or device loss.
Important: If you forget your PIN/password or lose your device, MTZCK may be unable to help you recover vault content.
5. Backup and restore
The App may allow you to create encrypted backups of your vault as an exported file. You may store that backup file locally or in a cloud storage provider of your choice.
• Backups can be restored only with the backup password/key you set.
• MTZCK does not receive, store, or access your backup files and cannot restore them for you without the required password/key.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining secure copies of backups and for choosing any third-party storage provider used to store the backup file.
6. Licence to use the App
Subject to these Terms, MTZCK grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App for your own lawful purposes.
You may not:
• copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App except where permitted by law;
• attempt to extract source code or circumvent security features except where permitted by law.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not use the App to:
• store, share, or process content that is unlawful, violates others’ rights, or is used for fraud;
• attempt to bypass, disable, or compromise security features;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
• introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with the App’s operation;
• infringe intellectual property rights of MTZCK or any third party;
• use the App in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, branding, and any related materials, is owned by MTZCK and/or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant MTZCK a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services and app stores
9.1 App Store / Google Play terms
Your use of the App may also be governed by the terms of the platform from which you download it (e.g., Apple Media Services Terms, Google Play Terms). If those terms conflict with these Terms, platform terms may apply to the extent required.
9.2 Subscription management provider
The App uses RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat and the app stores may process purchase-related information necessary to provide subscriptions and restore purchases.
10. Premium subscriptions and purchases
The App may offer Premium features via auto-renewing subscriptions and/or one-time purchases.
• Payments are processed exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. MTZCK does not process payments directly and does not store your full payment card details.
• Subscription price, duration (monthly/annual), and auto-renewal details are shown in the store purchase flow.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple/Google account settings.

11. Refunds
Refunds for purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play Store are handled exclusively by Apple/Google under their policies and processes. MTZCK cannot issue refunds or override store decisions.

12. Updates, changes, and discontinuation
We may update the App, change features, or discontinue the App, including for maintenance, security, compliance, or business reasons.
No lifetime guarantees: We do not promise permanent or lifetime availability of any feature or Premium access. Where required by law, your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that:
• the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure against all threats;
• the App will meet your specific requirements;
• data loss will never occur.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and device security.
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:
• death or personal injury caused by negligence,
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation,
• any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
Subject to the above and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
• MTZCK is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss arising from unauthorised access to your device or your failure to secure your credentials/backups.
• MTZCK’s total liability to you for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App/Premium features in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or £100 if you paid nothing), except where consumer law requires otherwise.
15. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these Terms or misuse the App. Where you have an active store subscription, you must manage cancellation through Apple/Google; uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.
16. Privacy
Our privacy practices are described in the MTZCK Vault Privacy Policy, which will be made available on mtzck.com and linked in the App under “Privacy & Legal”. The App is designed so that vault data remains on your device and is not sent to MTZCK servers.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
If you are a business user, the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring claims in the courts of your country of residence, where applicable consumer law allows.
